Prostate cancer kills one man every hour in the UK and one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
Prostate Cancer UK fights to help more men survive prostate cancer and enjoy a better quality of life. We support men and provide vital information. We find answers by funding research into causes and treatments. And we lead change, raising the profile of the disease and improving care.
We believe that men deserve better. Join us at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival and you'll be part of Men United, our growing team that’s taking action on men’s health.
There are two ways you can join our team, either as a Charity Assured Place, where you pay the charity a registration fee and pledge to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship or as an Own Entry Runner. All runners are valuable to us, so if you chose to run as a Charity Assured Place or as an Own Entry runner, you can be sure that we’ll support you every step of the way.
Charity Assured Place
If you would like to take part in the Edinburgh Marathon, the EMF Half Marathon or the EMF 10K as a Charity Assured Place then please complete the instant charity entry form below by selecting the event you wish to enter.
To confirm your place you will be required to pay a registration fee and make a fundraising pledge:
Edinburgh Marathon - £30 registration fee and pledge to raise a minimum of £500 (excluding Gift Aid)
EMF Half Marathon - £20 registration fee and pledge to raise a minimum of £300 (excluding Gift Aid)
EMF 10K - £10 registration fee and pledge to raise a minimum of £150 (excluding Gift Aid)
Own Entry Runner
As an own entry runner, you’ll receive all the benefits a charity place runner will receive but there’s no minimum fundraising pledge – we simply ask you to raise as much as you can.
If you would like to take part in any of the Edinburgh Marathon Festival events as an Own Entry Runner, then please follow the instructions below.
You can only apply to one Affiliate Charity at a time. The Charity has 21 days, or until Charity Place Entries close (whichever comes first), to approve or decline your application. For further information on how the Charity Place Application process works please see our Charity Runner FAQs.
