Edinburgh Marathon

The Edinburgh Marathon was launched in 2003 by GSi Events Ltd. and it is now the second largest marathon in the UK.
In its first year the marathon had 3,000 entrants arising to 14,370 in 2010 which makes our marathon one of the fastest growing marathons in the UK.
The race will take place on Sunday 22nd May 2011.

The Edinburgh Marathon provides a platform for our 294 affiliated charities to raise over £3 million a year for hundreds of worthwhile causes with our four main charities being Macmillan Cancer, Breast Cancer Care, Alzheimer’s Scotland and Help the Hospices.
