EMF Junior Races

Entries for the 2013 Edinburgh Junior races are now closed. 2014 early bird entries open on Monday 27th May 2013.

2014 date:  Saturday 24th May 2014

Estimated start time: The 3k will start at 9:05am.  The 1.5k will start at 11:05am.

Route:  Starting and finishing near the EMF Hub at Dynamic Earth this beautiful scenic route takes place in Holyrood Park in the heart of Edinburgh.  Its a great race for kids of all ages. Runners aged 6-10 will run 1.5k and runners aged 11-14 in will run 3k. Please note that the route may be subject to change.

Entry Benefits: Each junior runner will receive a wicking technical finishers t-shirt, accurate chip timing,  great medal, results posted on the website within 48 hrs, race recovery pack and a fantastic running experience.  

Schools Competition: how to win £250 worth of equipment for your school

This is a fantastic opportunity to run as part of a team and represent your school. Schools with at least 3 boys OR 3 girls entered to any Junior Race will automatically be entered into the competition.  There is an overall prize of £250 worth of school equipment for the top school from across these areas - Mid Lothian, East Lothian, West Lothian, Edinburgh City and Fife. Event Chip Timing: Timings for all Junior Runners will be recorded using a chip timing system - your timing chip will be embedded into your running number.

Baggage: Runners will be able to store baggage in a tent next to the start area.
