Each team member will receive a wicking technical finishers t-shirt, accurate chip timing, great medal, results posted on the website within 48 hrs with the individual leg times, race recovery pack and a fantastic running experience.
The EMF Hairy Haggis Team Relay is an opportunity for a team of 4 runners to take part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival. The 26.2 miles is split into 4 legs, each runner will run one leg. The approximate distance of each leg is shown below, the route may be subject to change.
Leg 1: The Royal Leg - 8.3 miles
Leg 2: The Cock & Pan Leg - 5.5 miles
Leg 3: The Gosford Leg - 8 miles
Leg 4: The Glory Leg - 4.4 miles
When entering the team relay event it is only the team captain's details that will be asked for initially. After the team captain's details have been entered onto the entry system the Team Captain will receive an email confirming the entry. The Team Captain can then add the other members of his/her team by logging in to his/her My Details account and pressing on the link under the entry.
It is the Team Captain's responsibility to add the details of the other team members. You can do this by logging into your My Details account and pressing the 'Edit Team' link under the entry. The Team Captain CANNOT BE CHANGED so please take this responsibility seriously. Details of all team members MUST be in the system by 30th April 2015.
Team Captain's will be posted out their team running numbers in May 2015. All numbers will be posted to the Team Captain and it is their responsibility to hand these out to every member of the team. For UK runners, the address we have on our system on 1st March 2015 will be the address your race number is posted to in May 2015. Race numbers cannot be posted to a different address after this date.
The minimum age for runners is 15 on race day. Runners aged 15 and 16 are eligible but MUST run legs 2 or 4 which are less than 10km. It is the Team Captain's responsibility to ensure that all team members are of the correct age as the age criteria are set to comply with Scottish Athletics and UK Athletics rules for race organisers. These are put in place for the safety of younger runners.
The waiting team relay runner at any changeover point should bring the bag of the incoming runner with them to the changeover point, they can then give the bag to the incoming runner as they finish the leg. Timings for all runners will be recorded using a timing chip which will be embedded into running numbers - read more.
All results will be fully available on the event website after each race. Full and final results will continue to be submitted to relevant parties for the purposes of verification of entries to other races and for ranking systems.

The Race Director and the Emergency Services reserve the right to stop the race at any time, if deemed necessary. These would be in circumstances beyond our control and no refunds would be given.
